GAYS SCENE VS. LESBIAN SCENE

The other day my girlfriend and I were in the mall shopping for outfits for AQUA GIRL. We live in Jersey City, but the LGBT community is pretty big especially with NYC being so close. Though we don't see gays and lesbians that often in the mall, today was fairly interesting. We saw so many gay men couples, but for real only saw 1 lesbian couple. My girlfriends says "Where the hell are the lesbians hiding"lol. I laughing, but she's so right. For some reason in Jersey I see more gay men than lesbians. I don't know if I'm missing something or what, but where are the lesbians. I mean yes NYC hold the lime light, but did I miss the fact the Jersey holds most of the gay men. Just curious, if your in the area or know the area speak up because if people are being invisible this we need to work on changing. We are a community and need to come together to acknowledge our presence. BTW i know most people go to NYC to party, how do you guys feel about a place opening in Jersey for the lesbians, definitely not excluding anyone, but rather just a place that holds a lesbian night actually on a weekend night??? Let me know! I want to know what you guys are looking for <3.
